Apollo West End Cinema

This is the latest, biggest and best film theatre from the UK's largest independent cinema chain. It doesn't renege on its indie tag either; this isn't cinema by numbers, like your run-of-the-mill out-of-town multiplex. Inside the five-screen theatre the seating is like being on your sofa at home (well nearly), and the visuals and sound are of the highest standard. They show all the releases you'll see elsewhere but give up the venue for various film festivals throughout the year.

When it opened in late 2005 the Apollo was the first new cinema in the West End for over a decade. Built on the site of the old Plaza cinema - it has plenty of heritage to live up to.
