Apollo Hammersmith

In 1932 the Apollo Hammersmith was originally known as the Gaumont Palace at Hammersmith. The Carling Apollo Hammersmith has had its share of famous performers rock its halls. The Carling Apollo Hammersmith has played host to many the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, Paul Simon, Billy Connolly and Michael Jackson. January 1st 2000, the Carling Apollo Hammersmith was acquired by Clear Channel Entertainment. Clear Channel signed a three year agreement with Carling to take on the name for the Apollo Hammersmith. The Carling Apollo Hammersmith is one of the greatest venues in the UK.

The Apollo used to be known as the Carling Apollo, but Carling's sponsorship of the venue has since ceased, and it is now sponsored by HMV.
