Troy Carter

Montreal born and raised, Troy has always been passionate about music. Starting with piano at the young age of 5, he picked up djing a decade later. By 19 he had his first residency at Tokyo Bar Sundays where he spun tribal and tech-house under the alias Dj D-Ceiva. As the years passed, his style flourished from exposure to new styles of music and experience in the club scene.

Troy quickly established his signature sound which represents inertia on the dancefloor, empathy, emotion and of course the party animal in all of us that he taunts to come out with his slamming soulful/funky/bumping sound.

Since then Troy has performed at numerous events including the following:

2009 – NHL ALL STAR CONCERT w/ The New Cities/ Hedley (Crescent st, Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

2009 – 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF CRESCENT ST w/ Michel Pagliaro/ Honey Moon Suite/ Glass Tiger (Crescent st, Montreal, Quebec, Canada)

2009 – CALGARY STAMPEDE (BLVD & Mile One, Calgary, Alberta, Canada)

2010 – SUPERBOWL WEEKEND @ NIKKI BEACH Saturday February 6th (South Beach Miami, Florida, USA)

In 2008 he teamed up with Marco G & Dj Kal to provide his first 2 singles. “No Requests” which is signed to Dj Dan’s “In Stereo Recordings” label, quickly hit Beatports Top 20 Electro Chart & “Party On” which is signed with Patrick La Funks “Opaque Music” label, debuted Beatports Top 100 Electro Chart.
