Ted Nilsson

Swedish born dj/producer, Ted Nilsson has certainly come a long way from his humble ‘Discoshed Days’ of producing his own music at the tender age of 17 in his mother’s make shift shed/summer house with his studio comprising of Cubase VST & his Roland MC-303.

After traveling around Spain and the Canary islands for four years holding a number of residencies in clubs such as Pacha and Space (Canary Islands) and Nightlife (Ibiza), Ted landed on English shores and hasn’t looked back since’.

With a recognized diploma in Music Production from S.A.E, Ted Nilsson set up his own label, KOMPIS Records (meaning ’friend’’ in Swedish) in January 2007. Things gathered pace at a rapid speed in 2007 after his January release of ‘Electronic Superstar’ on Kompis, gained an magnificent 3 out of 5 stars in DJMAG and received a great deal of big name recognition.

His Kompis label has seen the awesome release from Sanfernando Sound, ‘For Your Black Heart’ ’ which received countless airplays, with Steve Haine’s remix reaching No.13 in the download charts of DJ Download.

KOMPIS RECORDS has just signed up Levi Lewis & AudioSync (Glasshouse) with their forthcoming release ’NightBionic’’’.

In 2007, Ted was signed to ‘Lowered Recordings’’ with ‘PIPS’. The track was featured on Lowered Recordings’ Miami 2007 Sampler’’.

Following on from the success of ‘PIPS, Ted also had remixes out on Lowered such as Jon Fitz ’You’ll See Me’ (Ted Nilsson remix).

As well his solo productions, Ted teamed up with Joe ‘Flex’ Bailey and collaborated on ‘Fighting Fires’ (Lowered Records), which received multiple plays on BBC Radio 1’s Eddie Halliwell’’s weekly show.

2008 sees Ted currently remixing Ran Shani ‘Kyoto Nights’ on Lowered Recordings with release TBC.

In mid 2007, Flex & Nilsson had their monster electro track ‘Johnny Come Lately’, signed to YeloLeather Records.

Other notable remixes include the Nilsson remix of Will Bailey’s ‘POP’ out on YeloLeather Records.

1980 Recordings and Ted Nilsson joined forces in 2008 ’ with Ted remixing 1980’s forthcoming release Snax ‘Foreverland’ ’ release date TBC.

Ted is currently collaborating with DTPM and Miss Moneypennys resident Reza, down at the Kompis Studio’s where an extremely exciting production is set to be unleashed in the very near future!

January 2008 has seen Ted Nilsson become Miss Moneypenny’s Music/Pacha Recordings newest signed artist ’ with three projects set for release very soon:
