Not many producers can boast about having sold 40,000 copies of their first release in the UK alone, nor about it topping the UK dance charts or having it appear on 15 compilation albums worldwide, but one who can is 2004 Brit Award finalist nominee for Best International Breakthrough artist: Lee Haslam.
The 51st State sampling ‘Music Is The Drug’ became one of the UK’s biggest hard trance anthems leading to plays on Radio 1 and Galaxy FM catapulting it’s producer to greater heights.
That was then and this is now. Today Lee Haslam’s sound has seen a considerable change. He has rapidly become one of the UK’s most prolific tech trance producers, releasing numerous productions and remixes since his transition. His talents have been employed by some of the biggest labels in the scene from Perfecto to Discover to Spinnin, remixing some of the masterpieces from the likes of Dumonde, Lost Tribe, R.O.O.S., Sean Tyas, The Shy Brothers and Out Of Office to name just a few. His original work has also received critical acclaim, with his biggest hits to date being “Punch Drunk” & “Twisted Sister”, both of which were released on his own label Digital Remedy and were played by Judge Jules On Radio 1 a
staggering 16 times between them, with Jules proclaiming Lee to be his favourite and most
consistant DJ / Producer of the past few years!
