Josel

JOSEL (Ioannis Selimas) is a DJ and producer, currently based in Manchester (UK). He has been DJing since 1992, with residencies in small bars and clubs in his hometown Agrinio on the western side of Greece, as well as a number of events in Manchester. Josel’s music career really took off in 2005 when he had his first release as one half of the Josel & Pedro duo. Since then, more releases took place and very recently his first ever remix. Josel’s main influences and inspiration come from films, and music as diverse as greek folk, pop and hip hop. What ultimately inspires him most though, is everyday life which gives that extra melodic (occasionally melancholic) feeling to his sound.
