Colin Dale

Having been involved in the dance music scene for over 15 years, Colin began his clubbing days in the 80s soul clubs like the 100 club and cat whiskers. at 16, Tim Westwood gave him his first djing break at gossips, playing soul and funk classics. as one of the pioneering djs of Kiss FM during its pirate days around south London, Colin was responsible for bringing the underground to the masses. moving from one illegal venue to the next with the likes of Norman Jay, Paul Trouble Anderson and Fabio, he learnt his trade with the best of them. Colin has reached the premier league of international djing, playing regularly at clubs like The Rex in Paris, and Heaven in london. His love of all things funky has remained throughout his career as has his knack of reading the crowd and creating an atmosphere of pure hedonism. Producing and performing throughout this year, Colin has 3 releases on his own label, the Abstrakt Dance, on which he has produced with the likes of the advent and the transient crew. his weekly show on kiss is still one of the most forward thinking in the country, showcasing new releases whilst simultaneously broadcasting live on the internet, a medium Colin is heavily involved in. in-between touring the globe, Colin has releases on his own label plus a compilation on harmless records. A djs dj as well as a peoples dj, Colin is set to continue his tireless contribution to the promotion and growth of all quality dance music.
