Clubnet UK Launch is Imminent

The 12th of September sees the launch of the new improved Clubnet UK online networking site and has big plans to become the number one leading source worldwide for music and clubbing.

Combining the best bits of Facebook, MySpace, Don't Stay In and Twitter Clubnet UK plans to offer a unique experience whether you are a clubber, promoter or just passing through. Clubnet UK will operate in the standard way but will offer additional varied paid membership packages for clients who wish to have more control of their profile and content, the perfect choice for people who wish to get themselves or their event noticed but to keep it personal to them.

Previously known as Clubnet Southwest the brand was originally founded in 2003 by Geoff Jackson, under the pseudonym name of 'Zigojacko'.

Instantly recognisable for its popular blue/black phpBB forum and online message board the site quickly became the leading music and clubbing source in the Southwest. With 150,000 posts within two years from clubbers and DJ's world wide Clubnet UK always had the basis to form a fantastic online community.

In June 2008 the company started trading under the new name of Clubnet UK, and to celebrate teamed up with popular Torquay club Bohemia to host a successful launch party with special guest Andy Whitby. The beginning of 2010 saw the transformation of the Clubnet UK brand, with an updated website offering a bigger and better experience, a new logo and image, and a larger management team with fresh ideas for the future.

With these new strategies in place Clubnet UK aims to be a globally recognised brand operating within a number of industry sectors as well as music, clubbing and entertainment.

Although officially launched in a few weeks Clubnet UK continues to attract advertising contracts including Slammin' Vinyl in the UK and Electromind in Montpellier, the largest festival in France and event promotions including TR 909, Positive Impact, and Resonance.

There has also been interest from several magazine publishers, including an Ibiza based company wanting to produce a regular column proving that Clubnet UK are already proving successful with making their presence known.

The founder of Clubnet UK and one half of the management team, Geoff or 'Zigojacko' as he is more widely known, has actively been involved within the music and clubbing scene for almost ten years having been involved with promotion and event management, which included providing up and coming DJ's with their first sets.

Geoff's name is also prominent in the UK search marketing industry due to a number of years experience within the whole sector including search engine optimisation, pay per click, social media marketing, conversion rate optimisation and ecommerce. Having this useful experience behind him Geoff founded Clubnet Search Marketing, a successful marketing agency based in Plymouth, Devon.

The other half of Clubnet UK Mike Gouland, otherwise known as his Pseudonym 'Krem', was appointed Communications Director in 2010 to oversee the day to day management of the company and is the first contact for any enquiries, advertising and general correspondence.

Having been an original active member of the Clubnet Southwest website Krem has always had a passion for the music and clubbing scene and has many years experience of clubbing both in the UK and abroad. Clubnet UK has provided Krem with the perfect opportunity to provide clubbers and the like with a new website to enhance their experience based on his own. Having been in the Royal Navy for five years Krem is now embracing his passion for the music and clubbing scene by embarking on a new career with Geoff as business partners.

The Clubnet UK team are very keen to get the website launched and are confident that people will be impressed with what they have to offer. Clubnet UK have high hopes for the future which may include a clothing line, record label and radio station.
