| Title | Bestival Is Best Of All Festivals This Year! |
For those of us who still love festivals that are a little more like a party Bestival is still the event of choice for people who still love dressing up and partying on down.
With its glamping offers for those of us who don’t just camp out, secret stages to stumble across, and plenty of other surprises. This year’s theme is going to be ‘Wildlife’ and will be the ninth event hosted at the Robin Hill Country Park in September.
The Isle of Wight’s ‘other’ festival attracts a whole different crowd, The Isle of Wight Festival this year is playing host to Tom Petty, Pearl Jam and Bruce Springsteen, although they are making a real effort to attract younger audiences and those with a more urban bent with attractions such as Crystal Castles, biffy Clyro, Tiny Tempah and Noah and the Whale.
Bestival happens a few months later than The Festival and all of the acts aren’t announced yet, however, we do know that one of the headline acts is New Order. Other acts who will only be playing Bestival are The XX and Sigur Ros.
Other acts are Hot Chip, Two Door Cinema Club, Rizzle Kicks, Gary Numan and Azealia Banks and Justice. For the itinerary as it is made public, you’ll need to check here.
Tickets sold out last year and ticket for this year’s event are on sale already. An early Bird adult ticket for the whole event will be £170, a teen’s will be £110 and children under 13 are allowed in free but must have a pass. You can even pay in instalments if you like. However, because of people taking advantage of the different prices for teens in the past there are going to be more restrictions on admission.
Adult tickets can ONLY be used by people over 18 and teen tickets can ONLY be bought by people over the age of 30, i.e. a parent or guardian. The purchaser must be the parent or guardian of the teen or child that is attending with them and they can only enter together.
Teens trying to enter without their parent or guardian will be refused admission as will anyone holding a child’s pass. Each adult has an allowance of a maximum of two teens and teens must camp at the same location as their parent/guardian. No-body under the age of 18 is allowed into the arena area unaccompanied after 10pm. Children aren’t allowed in unaccompanied at all.
If you’re taking your child to see Azealia Banks I can definitely recommend it, although you might want to cover their ears during 212, it’s pure filth!
